Oral Cancer Screening

Every time we complete an examination on any person, we provide a comprehensive oral cancer screening. Yearly screaning for oral cancer is recommended to find oral changes early in development. Oral cancer is a rare, but aggressive form of cancer. Risk factors include genetics, smoke, and alcohol use.

Periodic Exams

Routine periodic exams are performed every 6 months to check the teeth and gum tissues. The oral cavity is a caustic environment due to the presence of bacteria, fungus,saliva and plaque. A periodic exam is recommended to catch decay and periodontitis(gum disease) in the early stages before major destruction has occured.
